Cupping therapy is one of the most useful ways to release knots, improve local circulation, and ease pain. It should never be painful, and is a very gentle way to allow muscular and fascial release. Although there are several different schools of thought behind how cupping works, I like to think of it like this: It is a lifting and separating of muscles, fat, fascia, etc. that allows tension to release. In a nutshell, cupping creates a light vacuum that allows blood to flow better and it lifts and separates your muscles and connective tissues.
Cupping can be done with a massage, or it can be done by itself. It is normal to experience "bruising" on the areas the cups were placed, though the marks are not painful like a bruise.
Cupping with a massage: $10 (adds about 10 minutes to the massage)
Cupping alone: $30 for 30 minutes, which covers about 2 body areas, OR $60 for 1 Hour, which covers the whole body.
*Cupping is suitable for most people, but it is always recommended to talk to your doctor beforehand if you have chronic health concerns.
